Responsibilities
- The purpose of this job is to manage, detail and execute HR services and processes in Secunda Ops, in compliance with HR standards in order to drive business requirements into integrated people solutions, value generation and reduce business risks.
- Overseas the implementation of the necessary functional policies, frameworks and methodologies. Drives functional performance enablement through translating functional strategic plans into operational and tactical plans.
- Engages with the BU leaders to analyse business demands and people priorities of the assigned portfolio and oversee the development of specific people plans for the business with a clear integration focus.
- Through continuous engagements with leaders, highlights and addresses business people priorities and challenges and recommends appropriate actions and measures progress within a large or complex portfolio.
- Engages with leaders to participate in key business decision making (strategic business player at relevant management structures).
- Develop and/or adapt and oversee the implementation of HR processes, interventions and projects, across the HR value chain taking the specific realities of a large/complex business unit into account.
- Leads the implementation of compliance and governance initiatives and monitors accordingly.
- Accountable to plan and execute HR services and processes in the business unit
- Identifies and discusses with other senior stakeholders material risks that could impact the broader business.
- Understands the needs of the business, analyses existing business performance and appropriate plans for business improvement.
- Develops integrated solutions that are appropriate for the scale, complexity and nature of the portfolio supported.
- Provide subject matter advice on HR processes and coaches leaders on HR solutions within a larger portfolio.
- Evaluates people initiatives and processes in the business and provides recommendations on how to implement those effectively to ensure the needs of the business and the specialists are met.
- Ensures all department members understands, supports and executes the values, vision and strategy of the business.
- Leads and builds an energised and diverse high performing team.
- Holds direct reports accountable for their own results and obstacles and deals with under performance.
- Provides a strategic HR consulting service to the business unit taking into consideration group wide minimum standards and regional requirements.
- Implement talent and sourcing plan that anticipates and meets long-term needs of the business to deliver the required talent.
- Develop and maintain a people matrix and report on HR Operations deliverables.
- Proactively manages interfaces with functional core, expert services and transactional services.
