Responsibilities
- Participate in department and business unit level technology strategic initiatives;
- Development, design and implementation of tax compliance tools (such as income tax solutions) for the business units use and clients, where applicable;
- Evaluating the client's tax and business requirements to build the optimal Tax design leveraging on technology;
- Develop/ maintain good working relationships with key client and internal stakeholders and keep them informed of challenges/ risks/ issues with technical solutions being implemented;
- Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes;
- Be in charge and the custodian of the applicable technological tools and templates in use by the business units within Tax & Legal;
- Assist the business units in identifying the global tax technological tools, lead implementation/deployment of such tools and customizing/domesticating these tools for proper use by the business unit;
- Actively participate in business development activities aimed at growing the business tax portfolio and revenues;
- Train and coach (classroom and on-job) other staff in the department on the various tax technological tools.
